Below is our entry requirements for the course, please confirm you have the following before signing onto the course.

To attend this course Safety & Access will require delegates to have awareness and experience of scaffolding structures. Those meeting one of the following criteria will be accepted onto the course: Yes
  • Delegate holds a current CISRS Scaffolder, Advanced or Supervisor Card
  • Delegate holds a current or expired CISRS Basic Inspection card and is attending the course to renew their card
  • Upload of CV / certificates with a letter from employer confirming awareness and experience of scaffolding structures gained via a role in the industry and minimum of 2 years of experience in role
One of the following must be provided prior to starting the course, these must have been taken within the last 2 years: Yes
  • CITB -Construction Skills Health, Safety and Environment Test
  • FAS Safe Pass
  • NEBOSH (General/Construction/International/) H&S Certificate
  • SMSTS Certificate
  • SSSTS Certificate
  • Current CCNSG Safety Passport (SCATS)
  • Current CCNSG Safety Passport Supervisor (SCATS)
  • Current MIST/BOSIET/OPITO Approved Offshore Certificate

People responsible carrying out statutory scaffolding inspections on basic scaffolding structures in accordance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and scaffolders wishing to expand their knowledge of scaffolding inspection.

Delegates to have some awareness and experience of scaffolding structures, which would have come from their time in their individual industry sector e.g. construction, engineering, manufacturing, or offshore etc.

Each candidate must supply prior to the course one of the following, these must have been taken within the last 2 years, if these are not provided then the delegates will not be allowed to attend

  • CITB -Construction Skills Health, Safety and Environment Test
  • IOSH Working Safely/IOSH Managing Safely/IOSH Directing Safely
  • FAS Safe Pass
  • NEBOSH (General/Construction/International/) H&S Certificate
  • SMSTS Certificate or SSSTS Certificate
  • Current CCNSG Safety Passport (SCATS)
  • Current CCNSG Safety Passport Supervisor (SCATS)
  • Current MIST/BOSIET/OPITO Approved Offshore Certificate
  • Delegates to bring hardhat and boots to course for practical elements
  • Lunch and refreshments are provided.

Individuals not holding an eligible CISRS card detailed above wishing to attend the course will be required to submit a CV and or/certificates, together with a letter from an employer confirming their awareness and experience of scaffolding structures gained via their role within industry and confirmation that the delegate has had a minimum of 2 years of experience in this role.

Examples of acceptable roles are:

  • Scaffold Designer
  • Contracts Manager
  • Engineer
  • Site Agent/Manager
  • H&S Manager
  • HSE Inspector
  • Scaffolding Inspector who has previously attended a non CISRS Scaffold Inspection/Awareness course at least 2 years before the start of the CISRS Basic SITS course.

Successful delegates will receive a CISRS Completion Certificate, and we will apply for the CISRS Basic Scaffold Inspection card for you.

CITB levy grants are available for eligible employers.

  1. These terms and conditions are in addition to the standard terms and conditions (Rev 2 06/99) of Safety & Access Ltd which are available for inspection upon request
  2. Course bookings will only be accepted upon receipt of a signed Safety & Access Ltd course booking form.
  3. Course fees must be paid in full prior to course commencing if no account held with Safety & Access Ltd.
  4. Safety & Access Ltd reserves the right to withhold the issue of training certificates, grant aid applications and NVQ paperwork until such time as the training/assessment is paid for in full
  5. Once a booking is confirmed, the following conditions will apply in respect of course cancellations. Cancellations are required in writing and will apply from date received.  Bank Holidays and Weekends are not included on time limits:
    1. For cancellations made 21 days or more before the course start date, full refund of course fee
    2. For cancellations made more than 14 days, but less than 21 days, before the course start date: 50% refund of course fee on cancellation or £50.00 administration fee on transfer to next available course. Transfers will not be accepted less than 5 working days before the course start date.
    3. For cancellation made less than 14 days before the course start date or non-arrival: Full fee payable
  6. Safety & Access Ltd reserves the right at its absolute discretion, and without liability, to cancel, alter or re-arrange courses for any reason including a lack of attendees; in which event attendees will be transferred to other courses or monies paid fully refunded
  7. Safety & Access Ltd reserve the right to remove any attendee(s) from the training course at any time if, in the opinion of Safety & Access Ltd, there is evidence of serious misconduct (including alcohol or drug misuse), or the continued attendance of the attendee would not be in the interests of the attendee or other attendees on that course, whether for reasons of safety or otherwise.  Full payment is applicable in this instance
  8. Construction Skills/CISRS/NVQ information on grant availability is given in good faith, it is the individual company’s responsibility to check eligibility with their local Construction Skills office
  9. Pre requisite evidence must be supplied within 6 months of the course date. If supplied after the 6 months period an additional charge for the application of the card will be invoiced for.
