Education
Safety and Access Ltd can offer a range of services to Schools, Colleges, Universities and other educational organisations. Many of these organisations have building work carried out which involves Working at Height which needs careful consideration when carried out in areas of high pedestrian footfall and risks associated with working in close proximity to Children and Young Adults.
As part of these operations organisations often have scaffolding erected on site by contractors, in these cases knowing that educational organisations don’t always have a great deal of detailed safety knowledge on scaffolding we can provide Scaffolding Safety support that includes scaffolding inspections, scaffolding specification development advice of scaffolding contracts.
We are also able to offer Work at Height training for organisations own staff which includes work at height awareness, lightweight tower scaffolding, ladders and step ladders; all such use of this equipment should only be allowed if your staff are adequately trained as required by safety Regulation.
As part of our Training Services we include UKATA accredited general asbestos awareness training courses which are recommended by the HSE for all teaching staff, the HSE have stated: “ANY SCHOOL REFURBISHED BEFORE 2000 COULD CONTAIN ASBESTOS and that a HIGH PROPORTION OF OUR PRESENT SCHOOLS CONTAIN ASBESTOS (HSE 2004)”.
Safety and Access Ltd can also offer Premises Management services to assist you in identifying areas of risk and development of procedures to ensure that you are in compliance with all statutory regulations and best practice.
